Open to those who have been practicing with the Falcon’s Wing Dancers during the Pandemic. This dance will be
performed on Friday of Lilies during the Royal Feast.

Level: Beginner/Intermediate
This is a playful quick-paced circle dance choreography with lots of repeats. The music is Adalyde’s Muwashashaw
from her album Utreia. Level is beginner, but will take some stamina due to constant foot pattern movement.
This dance will be performed on Friday of Lilies during the Royal Feast.

In a discussion setting, we will be reviewing the basic garments of 13th century Spain as depicted in the Cantigas de Santa
Maria and the Libro de Los Juegos (Book of Games) through access to high resolution images of illuminations and
extant garments.

A brief look--and reading--of a bit of Beowulf in the original, to get the feel and aesthetics of Anglo-Saxon alliterative poetry,
with various translations for understanding; a detailed look at the rules governing the alliterative heroic tradition; and then the
workshop: attempts by everyone to create something in the tradition (modern English). I'll be available for additional consultation
beyond the hour allotted for the class.
